Whisky Pork Chops
Make restaurant-quality pork chops at home with this flavorful, sweet whisky pork chops recipe. The secret to delicious chops is patience -- seriously. You’re going to want to let your meat sit in the marinade for at least 3 hours, but the longer, the better.
Pork chops can easily become dryer than a drought. That’s why marinating is so important. While the meat is marinating, the carbonation in the whisky will help break it down and make it more tender. The meat absorbs some of the marinade liquid, which helps the meat stay moist through cooking.
Most meat marinades are made with vinegar or soy sauce as their base. In this recipe, whisky is the base instead. If you’re a whisky drinker and have never incorporated the grain-based beverage into your meals, now is a good time to start.
The whisky gives the pork a uniquely rich flavor that, unsurprisingly, makes the finished product pair perfectly with a glass of Texas Crown Club Whisky.

Texas Crown Club Whisky Pork Chops Recipe
All you have to do for this recipe is make the marinade, wait a few hours, then grill. This is a classic meal that both kids and adults will want to get a taste of. The sugar in the marinade makes these pork chops sweet and delicious, while the Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and whisky help bring out the savory flavors.
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops
- ½ cup dark brown sugar
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Sprig of rosemary
- Sprinkle of thyme
- ½ cup Texas Crown Club Whisky
Serves: 4
TIME: 3 hours 15 minutes (including marinating time)
Step 1 - Put the sugar into a deep dish big enough to hold your pork chops. Next, pour in the rest of the ingredients, including the pork chops, and combine.
Step 2 - Using a spoon or baster, pour the marinade over the pork chops until they are completely coated.
Step 3 - Cover the dish with foil or plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for at least 3 hours. You can turn the pork chops over after 1.5 hours to make sure the marinade is evenly dispersed through the meat.
Step 4 - Place your pork chops on a grill or stove top to cook. Flip them every 4 minutes until they are fully cooked through. This will take about 10 minutes (give or take a few).
Serve your whisky pork chops with green beans, corn on the cob, spinach, broccoli rabe, or (our favorite) mashed potatoes to make a filling, well-rounded meal.
With any leftovers, try making pork chop stir fry or pork chop mac and cheese!
